Prep: Cook: 2 servingsAmerican
Ingredients
2 ribeye steaks (1-inch thick)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons butter
4 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
1/4 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
1 lemon, cut into wedges
Instructions
Preheat your skillet or grill over medium-high heat.
Season the steaks with salt and black pepper on both sides.
Add olive oil to the skillet, then place the steaks in the hot pan. Sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting time according to preferred doneness.
In the last minute of cooking, add minced garlic and butter, basting the steaks with the melted butter and garlic.
While the steaks are cooking, boil the cubed potatoes in a large pot of salted water until fork-tender, about 15 minutes.
Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add heavy cream, milk, garlic powder, and salt to taste. Mash until smooth and creamy.
Serve the steaks topped with the garlic butter sauce, alongside the garlic mashed potatoes, and garnish with fresh parsley.
