Air Fryer French Fries

These Air Fryer French Fries come out crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, with a beautiful golden color. Perfectly seasoned with salt, they...

Ingredients

  • 4 medium russet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)

Instructions

  1. Peel the potatoes and cut each one into thin strips about 1/4 inch thick. Keep them consistent for even cooking.
  2. Soak the potato strips in cold water for at least 30 minutes, then drain and pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  3. In a large mixing bowl (4-quart), toss the dried potato strips with 2 tablespoons olive oil, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, and if using, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder and 1/2 teaspoon paprika until well coated.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  5. Place the potato strips in the air fryer basket in a single layer (you may need to do this in batches). Air fry for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the fries are golden brown and crispy, checking for doneness.
  6. Serve immediately in a big bowl and enjoy!
