Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice or noodles, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch, mixing well to coat the beef evenly. Let it marinate for about 10 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat until shimmering. Add the marinated beef in a single layer and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes, or until browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Stir in the garlic and ginger, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the sliced bell pepper, broccoli florets, and julienned carrot to the skillet. Stir-fry the vegetables for about 3-5 minutes, until they are tender-crisp.
  5. Return the cooked beef to the skillet, mixing it with the vegetables. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and stir everything together for an additional 1-2 minutes to heat through.
  6. Remove the skillet from heat and garnish with chopped green onions before serving. Serve the stir fry over cooked rice or noodles for a complete meal.
